(transmitter and receiver) and contacts other amateur radio operators around the world. The radio amateurs got special, small bands of frequencies in the short- and ultra short frequency bands. The German radio
amateurs are organized in the Deutschen Amateur-Radio-Club (DARC, Geschäftsstelle: Baunatal). In the Federal Republic of Germany it’s only allowed to work with a licence of the RegTP
(Regulierungsbehörde für Telekommunikation und Post).
